[PS4] BF4 Won't Update

I bought a physical copy of Battlefield 4 today but the game will not update. My Playstation has the latest system update installed and I am connected to PSN and able to access other network functions from it. The game installed at version 1.0 but does not automatically detect that it needs to be updated. When I choose the "check for update" option by pressing the options button on the icon for the game, it says "The installed application is the latest version". I can play singleplayer but obviously am unable to connect to any multiplayer functions because the game isn't updated. Choosing multiplayer, battlelog, my soldier, or premium gives me a message that "the connection with EA online was lost" and does not trigger the game to update. I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, logging in and out of PSN, disconnecting and reconnecting to wifi, all to no avail. Can anyone help?

I've merged the threads about this issue into one post. As for the issue I've forwarded it to EA and it should be looked into. Please do post if something happens by contacting Sony.

So I just bought this game today (even though ive already had it in the past) I just wanted to play again. I have seen this problem with multiple other people now and I hoping EA can resolve this problem or even notice it?? Maybe it's Sony, idk. But it does not update the game so I can't play multiplayer. Weird??

Me too stuck at 1.0, deleted re-installed , then
Press check for update 'The installed application is the latest version;

exactly, I have no clue what to do. Just have to wait until sony or EA fixes it I guess.

Also having this problem I decided to reinstall the game downloaded all the expansions(I've been gone for a while from bf4) but no update I have rebuilt database deleted game server times even formated the ps4 and still no joy if anyone finds a solution please hit me up thanks

SOLUTION FOR PS4 USERS STUCK ON VERSION 1.00: I had this problem and had no idea how to fix it. I even tried calling Sony and EA. Nothing. But I figured out the solution on my own! Delete the battlefield 4 application off your ps4, go to settings > network then uncheck the box. You should no longer be connected to the Internet. Now insert your disc (or if you have the digital version, go to library) and wait for the game to prepare. Once it's done, click options on it then check for update. It should tell you to connect to the Internet. So go back to your setting then check the box so you're able to connect to the Internet. Go back to the app click options, then click "check for update" and it should prompt you to download it. These are the steps I took which worked.
