We want to make sure the game is working correctly on your system and it's unfortunate to hear it's the only game causing issues for you. Do you have plenty of available hard drive space on your system or is it maxed out? That can cause stress on the system when you're running the game for a while.
- How long can you play until it crashes to a black screen?
- Does it always happen in a specific mode at or a certain point of the game when you're doing something?
- Is your Xbox plugged into the wall outlet or a power surge protector?
- Are all the cables plugged into your system all the way?
I play on Xbox One as well and these steps below generally do the trick when it's crashing or dashboarding to the main menu. After these steps, you can always clear the saved data by going to My games & Apps>Highlight BF1>Press Start>Manage Game>Clear Saved Data.
Power Cycle the Console
- Turn off the Xbox One console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.
- Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.
Important Be sure to wait 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.
- Plug the console power cable back in.
- Press the Xbox button on your console to turn on the Xbox One.
Clear Mac Address
- Clear the MAC Address: From the Xbox dashboard select Settings>All Settings>Network>Network Settings>Advanced Settings>Alternate MAC address>Clear, then restart your Xbox.
