PS4 New game update required.
I am new to ps4 and cannot play battlefield 1 online as it says a new game update is required. what does this mean, how do i fix it?

Hey! I'm having this same issue with Battlefield 1. I've been playing the game for weeks with no issue, but the day the platoons came out I received this error. I have no updates in my notifications. I have internet connection. Any ideas? Thanks
Same thing just happened to me with the October update. Update always appeared in my notifications. This time, it did not.
I finally learned that hitting options (pause button) while having the application highlighted will bring up a menu. Then click search for updates. Your new update will not appear in your notifications download.
An odd thing to occur. I almost uninstalled the app.
