RAM goes to 100%

I play BF4, sometimes the RAM goes to 100% after a couple games.  WHY?

I only notice because my game becomes unuseable, so now I keep task manager open to RAM performance on my other screen.  This way I can glance across and see if the game usage goes up.

Between this, the "Error game disconnected you", BF4 is unplayable.

  • @hdog_5050, Bf4 likes RAM. It likes it a LOT!

How much Ram installed do you have anyway?

Are you using X64 or X86 version of the game?

    What browser do you use?

    What version of Windows?

Have you done a clean isntall of your latest graphics drivers?

  • Can you provide your PC specs as well? I had a very similar problem back in March after a windows update and I ended up resetting my PC to an earlier point before the problem happened and then re-installed the updates and the problem stopped.
  • Now I have the same problem.

I know 4 GB Ram is not much, but it always was enough for BF4 or any other games.

But now my RAM goes up to 98% or more when I play BF4 and the game starts stuttering till it becomes unplayable.

When I quit BF4 (via the menu) RAM usage still stays this high.

I checked the task manager for a running bf4.exe etc. but the game always was shut down correctly. However, the ram usuage stays this high until I reboot. Any other games don't cause this problem.

  • I reinstalled my gpu drivers and so far everything works as intented. I hope this was no coincidence.

No stuttering, ram usuage is still pretty high, but far away from over 90% and when I quit the game I get my ram "back".

How can gpu drivers cause such a problem?
