  • Yes, on battlefield bad company 2 no servers compile on the server browser list. However if you choose join game it will send you into a random server and if you leave it that server will now appear on history.

But as it is, without the servers appearing on the server browser and join game putting you into empty servers, it makes the game appear dead and it seems impossible to play multiplayer.

I found the solution. It says no servers found but you have to press the search button. Despite this should be automatic this is the only solution.

    Hey @OJWest1147,

Yes, you indeed need to press the Search button to make the servers appear. It has always worked like that with BFBC2, if I am not mistaken.

Are you now able to see/join servers correctly via the browser?
  • As a BFBC2 veteran, I absolutely agree with @EA_Leeuw. You always needed to use the SEARCH function first in the server browser overview.

Edit: there was (and kinda still is, but in a much less degree) a very good reason for this design: it is simply to minimize traffic/computations on both the service side and client side.

It was unwanted to have constant requests being loaded in and sent out, with every single possible query.

In terms of UI/UE, I suppose the SEARCH button should have stood out a little bit more.
