Re: Battlefield 1 doesn't launch on Steam

It's funny to see this issue occuring every time there is a sale happening.

So you don't need Steam to play Battlefield games the only thing required is the EA App.

My recommendation is to refund it and purchase it on EA shop. There is a sale happening there right now as well.

Also needing two clients to play a game that requires only one is silly and if for whatever reason Steam would be down you wouldn't be able to play BF 1 since I think it needs to have both clients open, just  like Ubisoft Connect works with Steam.

As a general recommendation purchase games over the required client to avoid problems like these.
