Re: Battlefield 1 PC 100% CPU usage problem

Hey @NjectAerinqq,

Sorry you're experiencing these issues.

However if you check the Tech Specs, the minimum required CPU is a i5-6600k (Link Below)

https://www.battlefield.com/games/battlefield-1/tech

Unfortunately, Battlefield 1 is a very CPU intensive game, and will eat up almost all your CPU usage.

Some things you can try to improve FPS:

1. Make sure you have the Origin in-game Overlay turned off in Origin Launcher, and the Battlefield 1 game properties in Origin

2. Check the Frame Rate Limiter setting in game, in the Video/Graphics settings, and set it to 60-120, depending on what your Build can handle

3. If you're using Nvidia GeForce Experience, try disabling it

Other than that, all I can do is suggest upgrading to a better CPU when you're able to.

Hope this helps.

Thanks 🙂

Thanks for the reply. So there is no way to force the game to use less CPU somehow? I mean the game was running just fine for 2 years, I started experiencing the issues after the patch. This is telling me its not necessarily issue with my CPU. Recommended CPU is nice thing, but 3570K is not slow CPU and its OCed to 4 GHz. According to this benchmark http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i5-6600-vs-Intel-Core-i5-3570K/3514vs1316 the difference between mine CPU and 6600 is marginal at best. I dont want to buy new CPU to find out I am gonna have the same issues (like lots of other ppl on this board with better CPUs). Besides all other games are running just fine.
