Just to confirm: you're playing Battlefield 3 via Steam and you're still running into this issue after updating the EA app?

No! I play through the EA app. Suddenly it stopped working.

The title of the topic and the accepted solution clearly indicate that it is targeted towards Steam users. If you are facing a similar error but are not playing via Steam, kindly create a separate thread.

@Mr-Ibrahim-1987 @chucknorris14710, to triple check: you're playing the game via Steam and you still get this product key error? If so, please share an EA app Error Report ID with us here in the thread. Steps can be found here on how to generate this ID. If you cannot open the EA app, you can still generate an Error Report ID by following the steps mentioned underneath the section called "I can't open the EA app".

Please also share logs of the EA app, by creating a .rar file of them and adding them to your post. The EA app logs can be found in C:\ProgramData\EA Desktop\Logs & C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\Logs.

I have created a topic but its pointless. We already said that it doesnt work with ea too.

How can I create a topic? I am on the EA App and the game just refuses to start. It shows me the message that it's not activated. Im absolutely shocked that this still has not been fixed by EA?!

I know that you are playing via Steam, and this was originally not for Steam players, but just wanted to check with you if you are able to find the following files:

1. Navigate to C:\ProgramData\Electronic Arts\EA Services\License and check to see if "71067.dlf" exists,
   
   
2. If it does, delete it and launch the game again. The game should now work.

Yeah, same weird thing happened to me,,couldn't find that Program Data on my PC Drive

You guys still havent find a solution? Why dont you downgrade the ea app to origin and see what happens?

When I try to start battlefild 3, connect to the server, EA said that battlefield dosent activating on this computer, please activate the key product. But I have bought battlefield 3 limited edition 5 years ago . Please help, what should I do ?

You cant do much. Wait until you see what EA will do. People have this problem since August if i am not mistaken...

@EA_Leeuw sorry Leeuw my mistake. I found the folder program data it was a hidden folder. I found the 71067.dlf and deleted it and I’m delighted to tell you the game now can be launched. Many thanks for your cooperation and your assist.
