@cessni In the library Ea app game exists, the problem occurs only after trying to run the game from the battlelog and the window is not interactive iso lack of connection to the network
I can confirm that deleting the 71067.dlf file fixes the problem!!!
Thank you @cessni !!!
@ea You're launcher should delete this file when uninstalling or repairing bf3.
work's nice for me, great thanks
THIS WORKED FOR ME (please see my previous comment in page 14 too):
I recently have also been forced to follow the instructions in this link (below) to be able to play, as the initial fix I posted was short-lived and I started getting some "Game already running" message in the EA App when I tried to play, but the game was not launched or launching:

IF MY LINK GETS REMOVED AGAIN JUST SEARCH FOR "How To Bypass the "Please use EA App to continue" Message On Origin" ON GOOGLE AND CLICK ON ANY OF THE FIRST 2 VIDEOS:
I just want to say that this whole experience with EA has been really frustrating and lenghty. I am very dissapointed with EA not only for getting rid of what was a lovely working platform already, i.e. Origin, but also taking so damn long to (not) fix any of these issues that have prevented us from playing for months, so much so that we had to put our brains and time into it instead of them. ☹️
Hope this helps, if it did please click on the XP button below, just so that I keep track of the number of people that can play again 🙂
CM edit: removed shady link.
Confirmed! This works!! Thank you so much, keep BF3 alive!
It worked on my PC as well! Kudos to you!
My friend and I don't have that file for some reason.
- @cessni No it doesn't work
GO TO C:\ProgramData\Electronic Arts\EA Services\License AND MOVE 71067.dlf or 71069.dlf (IN MY CASE IT WAS CALLED 70619.dlf) TO ANOTHER FOLDER, RESTART EA APP AND LAUNCH BF3
There is no EA Services folder on my side, only EA Core, i still opened it and it contained a 'logs' and a 'prefs' file, 'logs' had a 71069.txt file, and 'prefs' a 70169.ini file.
I tried running the game deleting both and also each separatly, but still the problem remains.
I'm reporting this to you because i have more faith you would know a solution rather than the community manager here, who seems more preocupied with making EA an 'inclusive' company while excluding us from playing this masterpiece.

Try to find those two files in your PC, they must be somewhere. Use the search bar 🙂

still same problem, idiots... they * into the game
- @Turcozer guys if you are going to post to say this, at least say if you tried the latest fixes...
- Turcozer2 years agoNew Rookie@cessni ı don't have "EA Services\License " folder, also i searched it, no response.
@TurcozerSame here... if they wanted it fixed, it would have been by that time...
I'm starting to think i should just get a refund from steam and buy it directly from EA. ☹️

It's not a problem of Steam, I'm on Origin and had all of these issues. But maybe that way you can get the files and delete them. Have you tried to install the .dll file?
Wich .dll file?

EDIT:

thanks ingeniously, but just in case, deleted everything with the dlf extension, delete and reboot, then it worked Install? I thought the solution was to delete it, anyways i think i know why my folders aren't the same as yours, it's because my version of EA is post Origin, meaning that Origin doesn't even exist in my case, it's only EA, except for this stupid message asking me for my game key which is from Origin

You are confusing two totally different fixes, please read everything carefully.
Your fix worked for me. Gave you +1 XP. Thank you.
I dragged the file 71069.dlf to my desktop. Battlefield 3 (B3) launched immediately. It re-wrote the 71069.dlf in the folder, however with the new file, B3 launches every time.
Copied your fix below in bold, for others who arrive at this thread.

By the way I have had issues with a few seven other games not working.
Five games CTD on launch.
Two Need for Speed games won't connect to servers.
However pausing VPN makes them work fine. (That seems odd since all my EA App executables bypass the VPN with split-tunnelling.)
Also to use these threads I need to completely exit the VPN.
- Dear friend, I don't have the EA Services and License folder

Didn't work for me unfortunately.
I would prefer a definitive solution from EA. Making changes in my own system is not the right thing (Microsoft approves!!!!).
I would like to watch EA executives' cars stay at the workshop for 3 months until the mechanic figures out what's wrong....
