Re: Battlefield 3 install - "code already used" error

Could you please just open your Origin client as administrator, login with your BF3 Origin account and download/install the game out of your "My Games" library?

Cheers

It isn't listed under "my games" because I never downloaded or paid for the game through origin.  I purchased the cd's.

The CDs install the game through Origin as you redeem the CD key via origin so it is in your Origin game library.  Keys are one time use and after being redeemed are permanently attached to your Origin account.

If this is a brand new unopened BF3 for PC and the key is coming up as redeemed you will need to speak with a game advisor.  The Game Advisor can audit the key to make sure that it was never redeemed on another Origin account, and if it wasn't he can fix the problem for you.

If your game is new you can reach a game advisor here:  https://help.ea.com/contact-us click on the orange button on the right to start a new case, follow the instructions and when you are presented with a contact method I recommend that you use the telephone option and the “call me” option so you don't have to stay on hold for a long time. The call back feature available to North America, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Slovakia, Switzerland, and the UK.
