Long shot but has anyone has any luck with this yet I've tried the uninstall reinstall twiddle or is it just a software glitch that now cares about now
I spend time on this daily trying to get this figured out whether it's working on the install/uninstall, reviewing forums in multiple sites or even asking BF4 players online when I'm playing with NO luck. I know this game is not supported anymore but there is still a large and loyal fanbase... some of which have returned from burnout on BF1. I paid for a product that doesn't work and it's no fault of my own (or anyone else in the same predicament) for experiencing this issue since these map packs used to work just fine. It's extremely disappointing that EA has not responded to this topic.
I will say this, these map packs will work if you get in a server that has a rotation with base maps in them. XB1 last night... got in the large map conquest server and jumped into Giants of Khaleria (sp?) no problem but that's b/c Zavod was in the rotation. I know it's not a solution but at least you can look for those servers (however, there's only a handful of them currently that I've found).
Please post if you find a solution. Thanks!
- I've tried that and just closes game and goes to dashboard then when I load it back up and try to rejoin it gives me the balck screen of death lol
OK fellow BF4 brethren, as a last resort I contacted EA customer service. I spoke to some great guys who were very willing to help and offered some new suggestions to try. I'm currently at work so I won't be able to try these until I get home but I wanted to share with you now.
Once I find the solution that works, I will edit this post so it only reflects the solution that resolves our issue. If you find a solution before I do, please post a response.
Note that the only things I've tried so far is the installing/uninstalling of the content and trying combinations of moving content from Internal to External drives (and vice versa).
Hope this helps! Instructions included below:
1. CLEAR THE MAC ADDRESS:
>Advise the player to go into the Alternate MAC Address section of their Xbox One by the path below:
>Advise the player to select the option: Settings -> Network Settings
>Advise the player to select the option: Advanced Settings
>Advise the player to select the option: Alternative Mac Address
>Advise the player to select the option: Clear
>Advise the player to shut down the console.
>Advise the player to disconnect the power cord from the back of the >Xbox One and wait two minutes.
>Once the two minutes have passed, advise the player to plug the >>power back in and wait for the power bricks light to go from White to Orange.
>Once the power brick has the Orange light advise the player to start the console and try the game again.2. DELETE AND RE-DOWNLOAD THE GAMERTAG -- this suggestion made me nervous so they said I could also TRY CREATING NEW GAMERTAG AND THEN TEST DLC)
Note: (make sure that you must first remember the password to your microsoft account in order to go to this process)
>Scroll left on the Home >screen to open the guide.
>Select Settings.
>Select All Settings.
>Under Account, select >Remove accounts.
>Select the account that you want to remove.
>Select Remove to confirm.
>When you're finished, select Close.
>Go to Home screen.
>Press the Menu button on your controller.
>Select Settings.
>Note You can say “Xbox, go to settings” from any screen, but you’ll need a controller once you’re on the Settings screen.
>Scroll to the right. Under OTHER PEOPLE, select Remove accounts.
>Select the account that you want to remove, and then select Choose this person.
>Select Remove from this Xbox to confirm.
>When you’re finished, select Close.
>Just re-download the gamertag by going to profile and re-download the deleted gamertag or just simply go to the profile icon and add new and put your microsoft e-mail address and the password
3. CLEAR PERSISTENT STORAGE:
Step 1: Go to the home screen and choose settings
Step 2: Select Disk & Blu-Ray
Step 3: In the BLU-RAY section select "Persistent Storage"
Step 4: Select "Clear persistent storage"4. POWERCYCLE THE XBOX:
Give these steps to the player in order to power cycle a Xbox One console:
While the console is on, press and hold the console’s Xbox button for 5 seconds.
The console will power down.
Unplug the power cord.
Wait 30 seconds.
Plug the power cord back in then turn the console back on by touching the Xbox button
Note: If your console is set to the Instant-On power state, the above steps will shut the console completely off and will not enable Instant-On or the ability to turn on your console by saying ‘Xbox On’ until it reboots.
5. CHANGE DNS (Domain Name System): (this one was provided in the email that was sent to me but there were no instructions, just a defintion -- he didn't mention this one on the phone so perhaps it's not necessary)
WHAT IS DNS:
Short for Domain Name System (or Service or Server), blah blah blahJust transferred everything to the internal HDD rather than my portable and tryed sunken dragon and giants of karella and they both worked but just to be said they were empty servers but they worked none the less i will try a populated server and see how I go ps I'd also downloaded all map packs again 2 days previous to this.

Has anyone tried to do those steps above if so let us know which one worked so I know which one to do.
- So, did you get into any populated servers, Drunkmst_chief?
- I was in a server with base maps everytime we go to DT or FS my game crashes and sends me to the xbox dashboard
