What do you mean by "too often installed"? I have the same issue and have tried reinstalling repairing and installing vc++, but it hasn't worked for me either.
I got you, under programs and features, I had like six separate copies of VC++ 2012 installed. I un-installed all of the 2012 versions and re-installed using the one in the installer folder. That worked for me.
- @SkepticNerdGuy Thank you the insight on this. This issue has been wracking my brain the past few days.
- @SkepticNerdGuy Absolute lifesaver.
- @SkepticNerdGuy This fixed it for me, thank you!
Thank you so much. I've been looking for a fix for so long and nothing worked. What a headache lol
- @SkepticNerdGuy I've spent ages looking for a reason why mine wasn't working, and this fixed it. I also deleted the duplicate 2010 version I had, but I doubt that had much effect. Thank you so much!
It worked! I had to uninstall all of the old VC++ instances and then go to c:\Battlefield 4\__Installer\vc\vc2012Update3\redist\vcredist_x64.exe and install a new one.
