Commander Mode was originally introduced in Battlefield 2 and is one of the most requested features fans want to see return in the series. As a commander you'll have a birds-eye view of the battlefield and you can support your team with various options like supply drops, UAVs, cruise missiles and a lot more.  

If you head over to http://www.battlefield.com/battlefield-4/features/commander-mode you can find a short video introducing the commander mode. You don't have to specifically use a tablet, Commander Mode will also be available on PC and consoles, but with the additional option of taking the action with you wherever you go, if you own a tablet.

so basically 64 payers and commander mode are coming to console? SWEET! ill see you on the battlefield........1 last question haha, how will we get the beta?

Yes. As Dennis said. Hooah!

The Battlefield 4 game beta will be available for everyone However, if you bought Medal of Honor: Warfighter Limited Edition, you will get the beta some days before everyone else.

In anyway, you can play the beta later this year in October.

I have no information if there will be a beta on the Xbox One, but I personally don't think there will be one given the fact that it's released on Oct 29th in the USA, which is before the Xbox One is released according to current information.
