Re: battlelog.battlefield.com is taking too long to respond

I tried the 'power cycling' solution, but still the problem hasn't been resolved.

To power cycle your router and modem:

    1.  Unplug the power from both your Modem and Router

    2.  Leave un-plugged for 2-3 min

    3.  Plug power back into Modem first and wait for it to fully boot up

    4.  Plug power back into Router and wait for it to fully boot up

    5.  Try connecting again

If you have a single router / modem like some companies provide, then you only have to remove the power from it for 2-3 min and then plug it back in.

So what could the problem be then? It's so trange how BF4 is the only game that doesn't work. And yesterday it worked fine after installing it for the first time in months.

  • I must also add that sometimes the Origin Store on the Origin Client doesn't seem to work either. It says this is due to high traffic or an undergoing maintenance.

Well since you don't power cycle your router, this could be the issue.  Some things will work, and some won't.  Power cycling your modem and router usually fixes alot of connection issues, unless it is ISP related.

As far as the Origin Store and Client not working sometimes, you answered yourself with that.  It is because of high traffic or scheduled maintenance is being preformed.

I checked Twitter and other media but nowhere it says BF4 is undergoing maintenance or high traffic...

The Origin Store can be accessed most of the time, but BF4 cannot be loaded at all.

Are the two problems linked to eachother? Should I just wait it out as it could be an issue from EA's side?

PS. I did try and power cycle my router and modem.

  • BF4 seems to be working now again, thanks for the help... I guess it was a temporary issue.
