Re: BF 1 Revolution sale already own standard edition

I think it would rather replace it, that depends how many packs you´ll have to download.

If Premium is a seperate file then you can just install that one.

If Revolution is a complete package, then you´ll have to download it again.

But that doesn´t matter, it will work anyway.

If your store won´t let you buy the Revolution Edition (because it tells you that you already own the game) then erase it from your HDD.

But don´t delete your saved profile data, just the game file.

After that you should be able to install Revolution.

And don´t worry, if you´re using the same account then you won´t lose your progress/rank/unlocks, that´s all saved on EA´s servers.

Everything went smoothly. It just installed the new content and left the base game intact. Took all of 2 minutes and I was up and running Premium. Not sure why Revolution is $1.80 cheaper than the Premium Pass alone but no complaints here.

Hey guys,

for digital copies it indeed should not cause any trouble if you get the base game and then the Revolution Edition on top. If you upgrade, it would merely allow you to download Premium, which should be a rather small file unlocking the Premium content which is already installed with the base game client.

If you happen to have a disc copy prior to buying Revolution, that would become obsolete, since the digital download of Revolution would be tied to your account anyway.
