Re: BF1 for PC Doesn't Start After EA anticheat Update

@keeekusame here, i have the game on steam and after i start it it just goes back to steam. I've seen a lot of people saying to delete the cryptbase.dll file but i dont even have it. I tried to both uninstall and reinstall completely bf1 and ea app but its still not working. That said bfv, which uses the same anticheat, somehow works and i own it on steam aswell.

ps. im on the latest win 11 24h2 build and 566.03 nvidia drivers and there s nothing running in the background such as malwarebytes or asus software

@Rev327thyes, i also don't have the CryptBase.dll file and also tried deleting the whole game and steam & ea apps and re-downloading everything and that didn't work I also deleted malwarebyte and disabled nearly all the services running in the background and ofc it didn't work I really don't think that my PC or OS is the problem, they just broke it and it's crazy how they managed to do this for a game that ran just fine for 8 years.

@keeekuyeah indeed, especially since 2042 and 5 work for me and they share the same anticheat and also the game was working fine the day before the update. I also checked the ea website to make sure my os is supported by the anticheat, just to make sure, and it is so idk what do to. Nothing has worked so far, i saw a guy that even did a windows clean install and still had this problem. I guess we gotta wait.

also if it can help ea:

-my windows 11 os build from winver: 26100.2033

-my gpu is a gtx 1070 and my cpu is a 8700k and i have 32gbs of ram (everything should be above minimum specs for the game)
-i dont use any modtools and there s no error message whatsoever

@98thCommandmentnope, in fact the anticheat works on bfv and 2042, and its the same as bf1 and btw i own all 3 on steam not ea app, idk if it makes a difference

Yo, I bought the game on steam and I cant play. My problem is as following: I launch the game, it goes to EA, it launches the AntiCheat screen and when the bar is filled up, it quits and just stops working. I dont have any errors, Ive tried everything for the past 12 hours. Please man.

I finally bet it, guys. But for this I made fn "diskpart clean" comand, reinstalled Windows 11 24H2 with all latest updates, installed EA and BF1 with AC. And it worked. I'm crying. Before that I've tried all other things mentioned here but it didn't work, spent a week for this.

I'm now afraid of installing other apps I need, lol. EA, what did you do to us.

90% of the problem with BF1'a anticheat program is a program running in the background in Windows 11.

To see all the programs launched at startup on Windows 11, open the Settings app, navigate to Apps > Startup

Disable any programs that may be installed for "Gaming Performance" "Network performance"
Then disable any programs that are assigned to "mice macros"
Antivirus can also be an issue


Reboot your system and relaunch EA app and Battlefield 1.
