Re: BF4 Intel HD 4000 Problems

You shouldn't be able to run bf4 with that graphics card anyway, it is a laptop not meant for gaming that you have there. If I were you, though, I would try to update your graphics drivers, here. Just pick your OS from the drop-down list.

The above critique is correct regarding the poor quality of an HD 4000.  However, there has through all the history of home computing, only been one single attempt by intel to produce and sell a discrete graphics card.  That was about 1997, I think, and a disaster;  awful piece of junk.  IGPs do not qualify as "cards".  A card is an entirely separate circuit board that plugs into a video bus slot in the mainboard.  IGPs are ride-along little ICs inside of larger chips.

  • Right, thanks for clearing that up! The new Iris Pro 5200's seem fairly okay for built-in graphics processors, though.

On topic: Radnite, what is your OS?

Im using Windows 8 64bit currently, with the unstability of 8.1 I'm not sure I should upgrade.

Also there are discolorations within all the maps that I've played on.
