Re: BF4 Rented Server not showing up in server browser.

Hi @ILUVSPEED ,

Welcome to the world of EA server renters!   :o)

You need as server owner/admin to start up your server and have an active admin on it before it becomes visible to other players in the Server Browser for them to join at that 'empty stage'.

And then the next thing you need to understand:

There are less and less players around these days for an 'old but still great' game like BF4.

So just because you rent a server does not mean that you have hundreds or players online who just are ready to jump on and play on your server.  They have plenty of other great alternatives, to go and get their daily fix of BF4 gaming.  So like it or not, but its in your end and up to you to attract those players to make them come to your server!

I know many great servers on these days, that have been great for many years and who have 20k+ favorites, and still many days they are not filling up or they are even standing still, all empty from players.

Even years back when you had 2-3 times more players globally on the BF4 game, it still often took many months after you started up a new server until it started to fill up for the first time.  And that is perfectly normal, as you need to grow the knowledge of your server over time, as most players typically stay with just playing on a handful of servers they already have marked as their favorites.  So they rarely use the server browser and even less the quick-match function to join a server.

Best of luck with it !

  • Is there a way around or fix for renting a server on ps3 for battlefield 4?  Everytime I try to rent a server it prompts and says... content cannot be downloaded at this time.  I even tried signing up for ps plus but no dice.   I have had to get a refund at least 6 times cause the content won't download.  Can anyone help with this.   When I contact the ps network they said to take it up with the publisher that it wasn't their fault.  Im trying to rent a server on ps3 for battlefield 4

  • I rented one ... they took my money but I can't even find my server

  • I have been dealing with this issue as well. I rented a server hopped in it and ran around for two hrs and no one showed up. Fired up the gfs Xbox and couldn’t even find the server under server browser or even by typing it in

@NinjaMonkey2021 make sure sever browser search settings are set up correctly to be able to display the server.

And that other people might not join could be cause of their search options as well.

If people use "quick match" they only get into official" servers and not "ranked" servers, for those they have to actually search for it in the browser" but if they have even in their browser set up to only look for "official" ones, they won't find it and therefore won't join as well.

Cause as i remember rented servers always run as "ranked" ones if usual settings (unranked or private if you set so)
