Re: Campaign progress will not save/lost PS4

So I just after 25 minutes was finally able to maybe reach a place where I can post my problem? Only to find while typing the subject line that my issue appears to be one shared with others....for it seems 3 years now? I have now been forced to restart the campaign FOUR times. Twice before putting down the game a year ago and after picking it back up I am welcomed with an unresolved bug causing the next 2 restarts. If I were to play the campaign straight through in one shot I would probably not encounter a problem (maybe) but anytime I try to put the game down to go live my life I know I will have to start all over again when I get home. * you DICE and EA, * all of you. Unprofessional slacks.

OP this is actually a Sony issue and not an EA issue. Sony announced that it is aware of the issue and working on a fix that will be pushed out in a future PS4 firmware update since it not only affect BF4 but Assassin's Creed IV, COD Ghosts, NBA2K14, etc on PS4. Unfortunately Sony did not provide an ETA for the Fix and it has yet to be implemented.

Here is a work around that prevents losing your data by backing it up: https://youtu.be/fIt3qv1DPXU

Nope, don't like that answer. Why are not more games affected? I also refuse to believe it is outside of the realm of a patch, and don't accept the answer "it's on EA". Find a different way of doing things then to make your game playable. Well, at least I only spent $12 to upgrade to the PS4 during the flash sale recently. If you post actual technical reasons as to why this happens AND they can't fix it independently then I will fully retract my argument.

Edit: And exactly how is that a workaround if every time I close the BF4 app I lose progress, yet I have to close the app to save any data? The vid makes it seem straightforward but I don't know if it'll work and Im not playing missions 1 or 1&2 (which happen to be my least favorite of the game) just to test it out. I'd suggest a different clip to link people to.

More games are affected - that is simply a cursory list showing that the problem is experienced in games from multiple publishers which rules out the fault lying with EA.  As a PS4 players I've done research on the issue hoping to find a solution for my fellow players, however that was the only answer that Sony themselves put out in an article that I read on the topic last year apart from the added blurb on the fix being addressed in a forthcoming firmware patch. I linked the Youtube so you'd have a walk through on how to do it, you are welcome to use it or disregard it as you see fit. Perhaps you will find a solution more to your liking on the Playstation forums since it seems to be a PS4 centric bug.  You can find the official Playstation forums here:  http://community.us.playstation.com/
