Re: Cannot post to the Battlefield One Forums

I have tried clearing my cache, and I've tried IE, Firefox, and Chrome.  I've even tried posting from a different PC, but all with the same results.
I saw an indication somewhere that you cannot post on the forums if you don't own the game.  If that's the case, since I own the game on XBox, how would my PC know that I own it?  I don't think my XBox Live ID is tied to my EA account in any way.

    Hi @abc1335506267

Exactly! To start posting on the Battlefield forums you should have the Battlefield games. You need to have Battlefield 1 for posting on the Battlefield 1 section. Also for BF4 and BF Hardline and BF3 and etc.

If you have Battlefield 1 on Xbox One, then you should link your Xbox Gamertag to the EA Account https://help.ea.com/en-in/help/account/linking-your-origin-account-with-your-psn-id-and-gamertag/  Then, go to the Battlefield Forums and login using your email address for your EA Account.

This is what the help page says:

"If you made your EA Account using the same email address as you use for Xbox LIVE or the PlayStation Network, load any EA game in your Xbox or PlayStation and your accounts will automatically connect."

I have used the same email for both my XBox Live and EA accounts, but they are apparently not connected.

@abc1335506267 Using the same email for both is not enough, and actually not even required. You have to manually link your Xbox Live account and your Origin account just like @IIPrest0nII stated to gain access to the forums. Follow Preston's post and you'll be on the right track.

@ragnarok013:  I did follow @IIPrest0nII's link in his post, but the only thing it says about it is what I posted "If you made your EA Account using the same email address as you use for Xbox LIVE or the PlayStation Network, load any EA game in your Xbox or PlayStation and your accounts will automatically connect."

I looked for procedures to manually link them, but I was unable to find any.  I also looked through my EA profile and couldn't find any place to do it there either.

@abc1335506267 here's the official help article that should walk you through the linking process:

I finally had to call EA support to get this corrected.  Apparently my EA account had been created a long time ago, and was somehow associated with my son's email address.  They were able to correct it and associate it with my email instead.  Everything appears to be linked now.  Thanks for the help.
