Hey guys,
They've been having some Connection Issues with the Servers as of late.
However, things should be good to go now.
If you're still having connection issues, please try the steps below:
https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/connection-troubleshooting-basic/
Hope this helps.
Thanks 🙂

Its still not fixedIts such a shame as we were looking forward to buying BF5, no way its going to happen now

Same error message as everyone else - is everyone else having this issue in Aus as well? I can connect to Asia servers fine, but I don't want to play with 300 ping.
Most of the info on this error message is from an issue that was resolved 3 months back, so it's outdated as hell.
More upset with the phoned in responses than with the bug honestly.
- @iluminatethesky, why doesn't EA inform the players via Social Media or a simple post about the general connectivity issues?

I think I may have figured it out
Click on BF1 properties and untick Enable Origin In Game for Battlefield 1
This has worked on my sons and my computer Hey @VleNik,
They generally do inform people via Social Media when they're experiencing any issues.
If you have Twitter, are you following the official Battlefield Twitter or the EA Help Twitter account?
Thanks 🙂

Absolute legend clickaus - did that, restarted Origin and it worked!
That just raises the question - how on earth is origin's graphical overlay causing issues with connectivity issues specific to OCE servers? What kind of spaghetti code is this?

@ZODGODKINGIt wont last long trust me

Its happening again which means it definately not happening at our end
Both my son and I havent been able to play for two days.
We go to join server
- get take back to server browser after a couple of secs
- get failed to join server error
- get Connection to EA online timed out latency error
Really over it and feel like we have wasted our hard earn on this flakey *

Yeah, same. Super annoying.
