Yes it does same Icon..

@KaiserMikael Could you please take a screenshot of the two icons and post it here, so I can see exactly what is going on?

PS! Just for reference, this what my BF 1 shortcut looks like (after I renamed it to just BF1 🙂):

See attached image. I show some of the logos that sh ows that it is the same as starwars battlefront and also that in the correct folder the Icon is correct.

@KaiserMikael I see, thanks for that! It looks like you have set up a custom icon for desktop shortcuts. You can change single icons if you go to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Personalization - Change Desktop icons - Change Icon/Restore Default.

It could also be that you have assigned a specif icon to a certain file type (.exe in this case) using a theme. If you look for "custom desktop icons" there are quite a few user guides on how to do and undo this 🙂

Nope that is not it. Did what you said, still same thing. And it is not a exe-issue that is assigned like that, the only Icons with that logo is EA-games. No problem anywhere else and there are loads of exe-files on the computer..

Weird thing though is that even if i manually try to change the Icon (right click, change Icon) it appears the II symbol and not the one i see in default.

No more help ? 🙂 Am asking Microsoft as well if they can assist on their forum.

Did you ever find a solution for this? This has plagued me for years and from what I can tell it has only occured with Frostbite-games. Battlefield 4, Battlefield 1, Dragon Age Inquisition, STAR WARS Battlefront, Plants vs Zombies. All of these games have this icon and I'm at the point where this is about to drive me mad.

Sad to hear about your issue, but somewhat a relief that i am not alone. It frustrates me more and more... but nobody seems to be able to solve it. I am also Swedish and there seems to have been even more people that had this issue on Sweclockers, a Swedish forum. Either us Swedes are just really unlucky or maybe it could have something to do with the localization of your PC?

Could be, but EA should be able to solve it.. For )%¤ sakes, Dice is Swedish 🙂 

Haha, lovely to see tgat I am not alone with this problem.

I work as an IT engineer and yet I have not been able to solved this problem, starting since Battlefield 3. Had the same problem with Battlefield 4(but that icon looks right today) and now this happens to me for Battlefield 1 aswell! I am also from Sweden, so maybe you're on to something there about our version of Windows? This problem though, did happen to me in Windows 7, 8 and 10.

Funny thing is, if you browse your desktop from "This Computer", does the icon look correct there for you? It does for me, but it looks wrong on the actual desktop itself :P

Exactly the same, and it varies if i have large icons, medium or small icons. Small icons it shows correctly, medium and large shows wrong..

I am swedish as well, and it seems that the swedish version of windows is the problem, since i had the english version before and now i reinstalled windows and mistakingly picked swedish instead of english.

Icons worked fine before but now i have the same icons as you guys.

i am also swedish having the same problem i think its somthing with swedish copies
