Hello.

Has anyone out there tried to enable AMD Crossfire on Origin Access version of Battlefield 1?

I am using AMD Driver 16.11.5, Windows 8.1 64 bit.

Hardware = i74770K. Two R9 Nanos in Crossfire.

Other Crossfire titles work o.k. (Warframe for example), my PC System checks are fine. Fresh driver install.

I also tried the AMD Crimson ReLive Driver. No luck.

I also tried AMD Crimson ReLive Driver in Windows 10 Battlefield 1 Trial set to DX11 mode. No Joy. No Crossfire enabling.

(Note if you are a Crossfire user, stay off Crimson Relive for now and stay on 16.11.5 see: Link to the AMD Forum Discussion is here: https://community.amd.com/thread/208914)

So for BF1 / BF1 Trial Version.

Has Crossfire been Disabled?

Is it switched off for the Trial Version but works in the full game. ?

Since I cannot test Crossfire in the Trial Version I cannot take the decision to purchase or not.

Normally for me, no Crossfire, no purchase.

I would be grateful for any help anyone can give on this.

Thanks.

Battlefield has never played well with SLI or Crossfire and some players have experienced issues running it that went away when crossfire was disabled while others have not experienced any issues.  I'm sorry that I can't give you a single definite answer but some players have issues and others don't.

I thought I should update this post with the answer.

    My System = Asus z87 Deluxe/Dual.I7-4770K.

Two AMD R9 Nano (Fury X) in Crossfire.

    Corsair Ballistix LP 32GB Ram.

Crucial 1TB SSD for main hard drive.

    Windows 8.1 64 bit.

AMD Radeon Settings 16.11.5. Crossfire on. Crosfire profile set to default, with the Crossfire Logo Enabled.

No CPU or GPU overclocking used.

Three full hd (1920x1080) DVI Input monitors run in AMD Eyefinity with Border compensation to give resolution of 6016x1920.

All Battlefield 1 Graphics Settings Maxed out.

    I completed the Battlefield1 Trial.

I can only get just over 32 FPS minimum in BF1 Trial Version with the above settings at the resolution of 6016x1080.

Crossfire is disabled in the Trial Version of BF1.

At the end of the Battlefield 1 Trial I decided to purchase the Battlefield 1 Deluxe Pack as it was on sale and I wanted to see  see what happens w.r.t. Crossfire.
I was hoping I could get a refund if crossfire did not work.

Once the game is purchased, the game updates.

When I launch the game following the post purchase update, the Crossfire Logo appears and the Frame Rate
goes up to 59-60 FPS with all BF1 Graphics settings maxed out and Eyefinity resolution at 6016x1080p.

Crossfire is enabled once you purchase BF1.

Please reconsider this situation, as I would have preferred to look at Crossfire Performance during the BF1  Trial Version.

I see no major issues with Crossfire so far on AMD Radeon Settings 16.11.5  It runs really well, the improved Frame Rate with the Crossfired Nanos activated is great.

    Bye for now.
