DX12 has been an issue with BF1 since launch. When users encounter performance issues with DX12 the standard answer is to use DX11 which normally clears up their issue. In your case it sounds like using DX11 has solved your issue so continue to use DX11 until next patch, then try DX12 to see if the issue is still present.
