Thank you for the post, this appears to be due to changes implemented in the last patch.

We have an official statement about this, copied below:
Many times a poor connection, latency, or impaired hit detection is due to your physical proximity to a server. It is suggested that you connect to a server closest to where you are playing to avoid issues with latency. We are dedicated to the continual improvement of Battlefield 1 and will keep you informed of changes as we implement them. In the meantime, please join us on the official Battlefield forums to provide your feedback and suggestions.

I can assure you we are playing in the nearest servers available, as we always have done, without ANY problems. We've played every battlefield game extensively with this configuration and never experienced connection or latency issues. So, you might imagine why it appears so strange to us that it was only after the most recent update that this problem started manifesting... Server latency is not the issue.
