For me 8.1 win pro with media centre
i7 3820
16gb ram
Gtx680, (r331.65)
Game runs from Origin asks which x86 or 64bit i want, i choose 64bit, it then launches chrome and when i start it runs the x84 executable, task manager shows bf4.exe (32bit), game is locked to low settings.
I've done the following with no appreciable results
1. forced origin via game library menu right click to only use 64bit, and changed back to promt
2. changed default browser in Windows from Chrome to IE9
3. changed back to chrome
4. deleted the bf4_x86 exe in the directory
5. tried the 64bit desktop shortcut
THIS WORKED FIX FOR NVIDIA USERS
6. User NVIDIA Geforce experience to force my card to run everything on ultra via the Optimize for game settings, then launch bf4 via the nvidia suite
Can now play x64 and change video settings!! :>
