Re: Help. I can´t play multiplayer in Battlefield 1

Hi, I had the same problem since the patch that introduced Nivelle Night as a free map, here's what I did to fix it.

Have you tried resetting the HOSTS file? also, did you just typed "ipconfig /flushdns"? I did that but it didn't worked, but then typing 4 other commands and rebooting the PC, it fixed the problem

here's how to reset the HOSTS file:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/972034/how-to-reset-the-hosts-file-back-to-the-default

Flush DNS (remember to type all the commands, after resetting "winsock" it'll tell you to reboot the pc):

https://help.ea.com/en/help/pc/how-to-flush-dns-cache-for-windows/

and change the settings to both OriginClientService.exe and bf1 to run as administrator.

I hope this can fix the problem 🙂

I`ve done all that and it didn`t worked. I don`t have problem w/connection because I can play other games w/out any problems or lag. I think something wrong w/installation of the game but I reinstall game and Origin and still getting same msg.

  • I fixed mine... I did what was suggested in post #4, but in addition I went into C/ yada, yada, Origin Games, BF1.exe, and clicked on that. It worked!

Then I deleted my desktop/tray shortcut and went back into Origin games/ BF1.exe and made a new shortcut.

I did not do: "and change the settings to both OriginClientService.exe and bf1 to run as administrator.". I forgot, and mine worked without it.

Hope that works for you all.

    Actually, it came back.

I put a PCIE modem in and didn't use the on board one and it was fine... for one day.
