  • ok i just tried joining a game on mobile date and it actually worked so big thanks. but i did not get said pop up or anything, so my problem still exists on my main good connection, if you would tell me what did that pop up say in greater detail it would get me one step closer to solving my problem, thanks. @dz_sakana

@Rock_Head322 me to i still have the problem with my main internet and i solved it by using vpn
i think my isp block some servers especially gaming because this problem happened with me in other games
so yeah try to use vpn on main internet it worked for me
if not try contact isp or maybe the router firewall or something
  • ok i got it to work with my main internet and it was one of the following.

    1. i made a dmz on my local ip address

    2. upnp was disabled on my router so i enabled it

    3. i did a reset in windows firewall settings which gave me a pop up when launching the game and ticked both boxes

    4. i set my network to private which makes it less strict

    5. i did a reset to the mtu value in the router as a i did miss with it before

i turned off the routers firewall long time ago, i doubt its an isp problem.

@Rock_Head322 hi can i ask how you rest mtu value in router i mean what is the default value and how did you disbale router firewall and i tried dmz and didn't work and do you have to restart router
  • ok i tried finding out what exactly fixed it by elimination, its the mtu value that caused the problem. @dz_sakana

1492 seems to be the standard value

i tried disabling upnp and dmz and they had no effect but my network is still private in windows settings and bf1 has access to both public and private networks.
