bit late to this, but i changed my account name on ea.com but on bf4 it still shows up as the original(unwanted) name

Hey @TheSavageDonkey1,
this comes down to the platform you're playing on. Depending on the platform, your in game soldier will pick up the corresponding platform ID:
If you're playing on Xbox, your Gamertag will be your soldier name.
If you're playing on PlayStation, your PSN ID will be your soldier name.
If you're playing on PC, your Origin ID will be your soldier name.
That said, you can log in to Origin and change your Origin ID there. You can change your Gamertag on the Xbox website. And PlayStation announced that they may introduce such a feature in 2018.
