This bug is already known to the battlelog dev team. It should be fixed on Tuesdays update.
As for saving the image, What has worked for me in the past is literally keep spamming save until it actually saves the emblem. I had to do it 30+ times one time before it actually saved it. What also could help is make sure you download and install the latest Battlelog plugins, get them from here Link
Update: this bug is now fixed and you will be able to add your emblem. @cory76xx
