Everything about ulocking m1911 in battlefiled 3 you can find here. Veteran status is some kind of solution for this question. You can get veteran by buying a used copy of Battlefield Bad Company 1 or Bad Company 2 or other previous battlefields. If you have played at least one previous battlefield game and still not get the veteran status you'll need to contact EA customer support: https://help.ea.com/contact-us
