Hey, I think I found very quick solution.
I was struggling with this problem for about a month 'cause of the automatic update from Origin to EA.
First you need to open your EA launcher, then on the top left corner press this 3 lines -->3rd option (I've got a different language so its probably "Help") -->4th option ("Restore app")
Then it will restart and you good to go
I Hope that'll help you guys Same issue is back. Menu is black, doesn't load the images anymore. Tried resetting the EA app, reinstalling the game, updating drivers, nothing works.
Does your problem got fixed ? cause i bought the game yesterday and after downloading some files it requested for online play black menu happened to me
- @Androny23 i delete the folder Temp, witch is in MyDocuments/BF1/Twinkle
Go to BF1.exe (where you installed it)
Then: Rightclick/Properties/Compatibility/Change High DPI Settings/
Check the box "Override high DPI sclaing behaviour" and you are done!!!😇

Hi All, I think I've resolved the issue for PC.
I went to start > search "ea app updater" > let it update.
once that is done, launch EA App and repair Battlefield 1.
Hopefully this works for you as it did for me! Good luck and please let me know 🙂

I have game on steam - origin not work for me : Writes an error that the game is not installed (although it is normally displayed in the menu),
I found a rather "strange" solution on Reddit that worked for me - after starting the game, turn off the internet, in this case the menu loads. Turn the internet back on - click go back online in the game.
How the hell does a 8 YEARS OLD game is broken by simple basic stuffs? I've been looking for a solution as well, I tried everything, drivers, deleting folders, even tried some weird fix on video options, nothing works at all.
Also, unplugging and replugging my ethernet cable worked... not for long, but still.
Looking at this thread, it's been four years people are coming to see if there's any fix. I was so happy to buy and play this game again, and I'm shocked to see that there's still no FIXES over a game's vital function, UI wise.
Edit: probably not related, but worth noting, Operations' menu is bugged as well. When going into matchmaking, there's no notification telling you that you're in queue or whatever, the UI goes away and you're left on the op map with artifacts bug.

Hey. I posted in a lot of forum posts and on reddit but just noticed you’re still having this issueDjes-sejD
After a lot of testing I finally figured out what causes the disappearing menu bug in Battlefield 1 when using the EA App.
It isn’t the cache or the Twinkle folder. The issue comes from having “blank” friends on your EA account — people who show up with no name and an empty profile. For some reason, Battlefield 1’s menus break if they’re on your friends list.
The only way I’ve found to fix it is:
- Open Battlelog (not the EA App).
- Go through your friends list.
- Remove anyone you can’t match to your EA App friends list (the blank/nameless ones).
After I cleared those out, the menus immediately came back and I’ve played for hours without a single issue.
So if you’re stuck with broken menus, check your EA friends list in Battlelog — removing those ghost profiles fixed it for me.
