Re: Prompted to download previous map packs when already downloaded
Hello RIGAMORTISS,
The problem lies in your Windows registry. It fails to recognize that you have installed the map packs already.
As a result of this, Battlelog constantly asks you to install the expansion pack while you have already installed it.
Luckily, there is a very easy fix that you can do it yourself and play DLC expansion pack in no time.
Windows 7 and 8*
1. Click the Windows Start button.
2. In the Search field, type "regedit" without quotes.
3. If UAC pops up, click "Yes" to allow run the Registry Editor.
4. In the Registry Editor, go to the left side and find "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE".
5. Click SOFTWARE, scroll down a bit and then click on Wow6432Node folder.
6. Scroll down again until you find "EA Games" folder, then select and "Battlefield 4" directory.
7. Right click on "Battlefield 4" folder and select "New > Key". Now, type "Xpack3" and click enter.
8. On the right side, right click anywhere in the blank space and select "New > String Value".
9. In the string value type "Installed" and click enter. Afterwards, right click on "Installed" and then select "Modify". In Modify textbox, type "True" and click enter.
10. Close Registry Editor and go to Battlelog and try to join a DLC server.
Repeat the same steps for Xpack0, Xpack1 and Xpack2.
* There is a slight different process for Windows 8. Once you clicked on the Windows Start button, go to the right top and find the search icon. As soon as you do that, follow the steps from 2 to 10 as they are described above.
Let me know if this has solved your problem.
