Hopefully, it won't come to that or I'll be downloading for quite a while.... I'm going to try and restore the PS3's File System first. I had to do it before and from what I can find online, that's exactly what I need. We'll see.....

This issue is an PSIII/PSN related problem. Following workaround is helped a couple of people solving this issue. Please let us know if your issue still exist and keep the community informed if that helped, by accepting as a solution!
Cheers BastiDelete the User account that is associated with your Sony Entertainment Network account.
* This does not mean you are deleteing your Sony Entertainment Network account.
- On the XMB, go to (Users) and highlight the User that is associated with your Sony Entertainment Network account.
- Press the triangle button and select "Delete" and the User will be deleted.
- Now under (User), select (Create New User) and create a new User.
- Sign in to your Sony Entertainment Network account under this User and sync your trophies.
NOTE: Please be sure to back up your game saves as this step will delete all game data for this user.

Thanks for offering a solution and for answering quickly, but restoring the File System and rebuilding the DB did the trick. Thanks again!
