Community Manager@EA_Leeuw, I don't know exactly when did this bug started to happen. I just open the server browser with no game modes selected, sometimes I search for an operations server and join one, but when I'm ready to deploy, it's just a conquest server and not operations server. I feel like I'm a victim of clickbait 🙂
Community Manager@gksvr1, I get you. It could be that the server is switching between modes and that the server browser is just caching the previous mode in the UI, although I am not 100% sure of this. I will pass it on to the team for investigation.
Follow-up question; have you already tried to fully reset the server browser config?
@EA_Leeuw, I can confirm that official servers will not switch between game modes (only switching between maps) unless it's a private server (the owner can change the server configuration at anytime). If you look at the provided picture earlier, I selected only Conquest servers and there are 2 official servers categorized as Operations which isn't true.
As for your question, I did reset the filters and the issue is still not fixed.
After inspecting and messing up with the server browser, I found out that the issue isn't only occurring when you select Conquest servers. In fact, it happens in other game modes. Let's take the image below as an example, I selected only Frontlines servers, but there are 3 servers categorized as Frontlines servers which isn't true. 2 War Pigeons servers and 1 Rush server, the game size (Frontlines support only 32 players, not 24) and names of those servers are incorrect.
I joined this Operations server, but when I'm ready to deploy it's just a normal conquest server as you can see in the video below.
