According to the battlefield 1 subreddit, bf1 players would still be happy with the Arditi dagger in 2024:

Of course as the Coupe Coupe, the Arditi and the Ararebo were unlocked by limited time events they will not be obtainable by playing. But by releasing the Ararebo in the exchange they have proven that they can make them obtainable in the exchange if they want. Same for some rare skins that were often asked for and where we got told that a release in the exchange is not possible due to technical limitations.

Just make the stuff available. You can do it.

@HUN_gattaca_lgThe Arditi Dagger is just part of a larger problem. I despise time limited content on the basis that it's only there to create FOMO and increase player numbers artificially. The main issue though is that just like anything running on a computer it's just binary code which can be INFINITELY replicated and there is ZERO reason why it should be gatekept especially for a 7+ year old game. If you release content for a game it should be available ALL THE TIME not limited to an arbitrary date, this includes Battlepasses.

Live Service Games love to exploit this and while this is far from the major reasons I never bought 2042 it sure is one of them and I'll make sure to return the favor if BF2025 also becomes a Live Service Game. BF1 was the last good Battlefield game in my opinion (it would be much better though without lootcrates and wasting players time to obtain skins) and the last one I bought directly with my money. I only have BF5 because it was gifted to me from Amazon Prime and am I glad I never bought it. While it improves on some aspects, overall it is still a huge regression.

Would love to see it come in the exchange or as a community mission again 🙂.

Oh yes. That would be cool.
