Re: Unable to Remove Low FPS Icon

@RazzellD

Are you using an overlay or otherwise displaying the actual FPS numbers?

If not, you can open the console using the tilde key ~

...then type the following without the inverted commas : “perfoverlay.drawfps 1” and hit enter.

    I don't think you understand the issue, Barry.

    I do not normally play with an overlay, but have used one to deduce the Low FPS icon is in error.

    Using the console command you provided merely affirms what I already knew: my FPS is fine and the icon is in error.

    According to the drawfps console command, I never drop below 60 FPS and typically average much higher.

    I'm not trying to display my FPS in game.

    I'm trying to remove the Low FPS icon from my game screen. Why is there no option to do so similarly to other warning icons?

    Please get back to me when you have a proper solution.

    @RazzellD

    Do you mean these icons?

    Your question was already answered, please fully read the query.

    To reiterate: it is only the Low FPS icon (specifically the orange warning Low FPS icon) that remains constantly on screen, despite all appropriate in-game options set to 'hide' and FPS well above (what perhaps I'm falsely assuming) the threshold of acceptable FPS to be. What FPS should I be pulling in order for the icon to not appear? I assumed having 100 FPS would be acceptable and not cause a warning, but perhaps I am mistaken.

    The effort is appreciated, cheers. Please let me know in this query if a solution presents itself.

    I do understand the issue, what I was trying to do was help you determine if you were actually seeing framerate drops into the region that would trigger that icon to be displayed.

    It may be worthwhile running a GPU monitoring app (EVGA Precision or MSI Afterburner for example) that will graph your FPS and help you find what your minimum FPS values are.

    Posting your Dxdiag report here may allow us to advise you further, thanks.

    @EA_Barry I can vouch for the OP's issue. In the last patch the options to turn these warnings off seem to have been inexplicably removed. Like many people I understood that those icons were normally very inaccurate so I turned them off and now we can't.
