I haven’t left yet for the doctors; so, I just checked.
Just picked two things that were easy checks:
1. I own ALL the skins for the Perino Model 1908; however, only the Pozzuolo and the Monte Ortigara show up on customize soldier.
2. I own the Russian Axe, it does not appear at all on my melee weapons selection. Not even as locked.
If I am in a game though and go to customize load out I can. Plus, on the BF phone AP, all my melee weapons are visible and I can equip them there. - EA_Atic

When you are back fromt he doctor can you try the following and see if that helps.
Could you try to power cycle the console and see if that helps.
Power cycle the PlayStation console
- Completely turn off the PlayStation by holding the power button.
- Wait for the power light to stop flashing, then remove the power cable and leave the system for 20 minutes.
- Reconnect and attempt to launch Safe Mode.

- @EA_Atic I gave that a try. No luck. My complete inventory is only available during a game or on my IPhone BF App. What’s weird is if I all my classes are equipped with say the Russian Axe or the Ararebo, either during a game or by using the App, if I jump to Customize Loadout the melee weapon instantly defaults to the combat knife on all classes.

Skins I cant see in the soldier menu and melee weapons like the French Butcher knife and Russian award knife that I cant see in the soldier menu. If I go to equip my soldier in a game I can see all the skins and all the melee weapons. If I equip the French butcher knife in game and then exit the game and go to the soldier menu. The equipped French Butcher Knife has been changed to the combat knife.
One minor difference between you and I is that I can see the Russian ax in the soldier menu. Maybe this problem manifests itself a little differently for each player.
This has been going on for me for a couple of years. I've tried many power cycles and I've tried reinstalling the entire game and still no luck fixing this problem. PS4
- @Forkbeard84 I also have that with suddenly having a knife equipped instead of the melee weapon I picked inside the game (Xbox Series S)
I can't change ANY skins in the 'Customise Soldier' menu and can't see them anywhere else.
Mind, I am old and my eyes are dim so that might have something to do with it..... 👀

I encounter a funny glitch on BF1 these last fe days.During character customization,the eapons loadout is locked to the default weapons,in which you can't even change skin,and they all appear to need war bonds to unlock.
The game though tells me i have no war bonds,despite i've some 4500 of them.
The funny part is that i can change loadout in the pre-battle menu,and i can pick any of the weapons i have already unlocked and customized.the settings on them are not lost.
What this might be,and how can it be solved?

Thing is i have linked the Steam and Origin accounts,and the glitch appears on both.

Exactly.I can choose any weapon and gadget i like,but only pre-battle.I cannot change my character or weapons loadout and skin in the game customization menu,they appear to be still locked and the skins have disappeared..
- @hellbassman dlcs weapons or all the weapons mate?
Everything except the game's default weapons.
And even on those i cannot change skins,since they do not appear in the customisations options.
I can tweak the magnification,recoil and stuff but there is no skin option.
brother try to reinstall the game and all the dlcs.
i'm in ps4 platform but i face that issue before while transferring the game from the external to the internal hd
Looks like it's what i'll finally do.
As i think of it,looks like some files between the pc cache and cloud cache don't match,and there is not much i can do than delete the game and reinstall it in this case.
