Golmud is large, but you won't get that many targets on that range. Other than that... you probably can get a decent distance from carriers on naval maps, but I haven't really tried it myself. I would recommend Silk Road, as, while it's not the largest map, it is big enough and there isn't that much cover, so you should get more opportunities.
