I have just started to experience this problem after getting a new computer. Server ping looks ok in menu (10-12) but spikes (300+) during gameplay every few seconds, often leading to me being kicked by punkbuster for high ping. I have tried many servers most of which I was playing on before my upgrade with no problems at all. I do not have this problem with other games.
Previous computer (no issue):

Edit:
Have just used an Ethernet cable and this fixed the problem. In my case the issue was with my wireless, it is odd however that only bf4 was effected.
