I also had this problem for quite some time as well.... But I have found a solution to fixing the freezing maps. (Xbox 360)
1: go to your console storage ( hard drive, memory unit, etc.)
2: go to games and find BF4
3: find the first title update and delete it.
4: launch BF4
5: it will ask you to reinstall the update, go ahead and do that.
once you finish, the freezing should be resolved, but keep in mind I have only tried Hainan Resort on team death match, so I don't know if it will work on other modes.
