Re: You were disconnected from EA Online. Please check your internet connection
@W4rH0rse wrote:@roughriderv111 Have you tried fully closing your browser and Origin, then logging back in?
Also do you have plugin free game launching enabled in Battlelog? If you don't you can try enabling it by doing the following:
1: Log into Battlelog and go to your profile page.
2: Click the "Edit Profile" button.
3: Scroll down the page until you see "Game Launch".
4: Put a check in the box next to "Use plugin-free game launching".
If that doesn't help try clearing your browser cache (instructions here: http://refreshyourcache.com/en/home/).
If none of the above fixes the problem you can try using a different browser to log into Battlelog and join a server.
You can also try starting and logging into Origin, then open your browser and log into Battlelog by going here: http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/. Use the same email/password you use for Origin.
Tried plug-in free game launching and it doesn't work on either of my browsers, Firefox nor chrome. I have cleared cache and done all the things suggested by others regarding that, as well as some comments some EA techs have listed in their help section, and none of that works. No sooner that I try the "plug-in free game launching" it errors and says that I need to have origin started, which always is running when I am trying to play bf3 or bf4.
I have done everything that others have tried in regards to their somewhat similar problem and none of that works. Including what the other person was talking about: ports.
What is seemingly odd, which some may or may not see like I do, but anyone playing bf4 without problems shouldn't have issue with playing bf3 *in regards to ports* since both games use the exact same ports.
The only remaining thing I haven't done at this point is remove and reinstall BF3.
I will attempt methods suggested, again, even though I know they wont work as I have tried them already, but will do it anyway for the heck of it. After that, will remove bf3 and try a reinstall to see if it changes anything. if it fails again than I will just remove it and put the game in my "old games" section as I have played the single player game more times than I care to say and the multiplayer portion is all I care to play in that game now and if I can't play that, might as well remove it.
On a different note, somewhat, I find it ludricous and ridiculous format in which to play the game. They should have stuck to the method that bfbc2 is using, I haven't had a single problem with bc2 and prefer doing all my server browsing from within the game instead of having to leave the game in order to switch to a different server.
