Rented servers disappearing from favorites and server search pages in BF4
BF4 on PS4:
Over past 2-3 weeks many of our faithful gamers on our servers have reported the same thing (servers with 10,000+ players having marked it as a favorite). And we are also ourselves experiencing it, despite we even own/admin the servers ourselves.
On PS4 the Server Search function screen and also the Server Favorites screen is not always now showing the full and correct result of servers. Some days several of our favorites are gone, including our own server that we rent! And when trying to use the manual server search function, then our server is also missing from the results page.
And then without having changed anything, then the next day all can be back and working as supposed to. Both on the Server Search screen and the server also appearing again on your Server Favorites list. So they can come and go like this, with no reason at all!
And we have hundreds of players having reported the exact same thing on their own local PS4 BF4 platform.
So it is not just about MY PS4 and MY local BF4 setup, or just about MY BF4 server that I rent from EA.
I run two different player communities on the PS4 platform, each with around 400 players in each.
And in both communities it is the same observations that other players have experienced and reported there!
Btw, special observation is that any server that you cannot search and find on the PS4 platform or show in your list of marked favorites (despite it is still there and active), is also gone from the BattleLog platform when searching for it using a PC Laptop with a webbrowser. And then next day when the webbbrowser can show it ok, then also it is there again when starting the PS4. Back again on your Serever Search result list and back on your Server Favorites list.
I read a couple of posts on exact this problem on REDDIT (from January 2019 and February) hinting this being due to an EA server software update of some kind done mid January 2019.
This certainly appear to fit well with when this bug started and causing trouble for us all. Until then, all had been running very stable past 18+ months, and we have not changed a thing on our server settings.
Last question: How do I get my money back for the days I paid for server rental but it is not available to play on, or can you please assure rental time extension accordingly?
I contacted EA Live Chat Support a couple of times, and they sent me here last time, as the way to message the programmers to fix this!
