I have tried to update punkbuster several times and sometimes windows comes up with an error that says something wasn't installed correct.
I've searched after the PnkBstrA.exe on my harddrives it doesn't exist at all...

Try doing a clean boot. Type msconfigm in the search bar and open the program. Go to services, and click the box "Hide All Microsoft Services". Then dgo down the line and find "PnkBstrA.exe" is checked, and that will mean punkbuster starts with windows. Click apply, and reboot. Hope that helps.
