Second Assualt PC - Premium - No option to download expansion.

:mansad: Ok I am a premium member - had the problem with the China Rising Expansion that it would download but wouldn't run it - thanks forum for the fix. Now I have the issue where I can't download the early release Second Assualt expansion.  I have followed all the advice on the forums for finding it and updating it however I do not have the expansion option available under game information - nor does checking for game update or repair installation fix the issue either. Closing down PC or logging out and in to Origin Client doesn't help.  Battlelog is not giving me an update option either!

I have BF4 installed on three PC's - two Windows 7 Premium 64's and one Windows 8 Premium 64.  No luck resolving the issue on any of them so its not PC or OS specific.  Makes me think its an Account issue - even though Origin Game Information tells me I am "digital deluxe, premium and China Rising" enabled. Extremely annoying - so I've gone back to playing BFBC2 in the meantime (imao - much more enjoyable gameplay).

  • None of the solutions you reiterated sorted the problem however talking to EA help in something other than I.E. actually worked.  Seemed to be an account issue and once the expansion was credited to my account problem solved (in terms of downloading at least).  Once premium recredited to account all future expansions showed up as well.

    If you have the same problem talk directly to EA Help - seems to be the only solution.  Thanks Rishi at EA Help!

    If nothing works, contact support and follow this steps:

    For this, you will need to contact Origin/EA support. They will gladly help you, with this problem. To contact them, see the steps below: 

    *Note that some players may have issues when using Internet Explorer. If this is the case, please use an alternate browser such as Firefox or Chrome*

    Click the following link and log in: https://help.ea.com/en/

    Then click on Help with a Game, and choose your game. If your game isn't listed, try entering the name on the search bar to the right. Alternately you can choose the Browse By Topic option and choose your relevant topic. If it is an account issue that doesn't require Game Advisor assistance, you can click the Manage Account button.

    On the next page you will see a bunch of articles, links to community fixes, and a manuals tab for the chosen game.

    If the articles aren't relevant to you, scroll to the bottom of the page, and you will get an option to Contact Us.

    Click this and you will be prompted to choose your platform, the topic of your issue and to give a brief description of the issue at hand.

    You will then have your options available, such as having a Live Chat with an advisor, or scheduling a callback if it is available in your region.

    After this, you will get a live chat or a callback (depending on what you chosen) with an EA agent, that will be glad to help you.

    Great to hear your problem is resolved. Also does steps are there just in case, it may not work for everyone but they work fore someone. If they don't work, support is then the way.😕mileywink:
