Sign in with your EA account to activate your game on this computer

The splash screen prompt comes up for me to sign in with my EA account to activate 2142 on my computer, I enter in my e-mail and password and it just comes up saying Could not connect to the server, ...

    I'm also having the same problem with NFS Prostreet and MOH airborne
