Slow download speeds on Origin, Battlefield 4

Sorry, but Origin has always throttled download speeds.  I have 50 Mbps download and never go above 7.5 Mbps for Origin downloads.

I very much doubt you have ever downloaded with speeds of 700 Megabytes per second.. You most likely reached 70MB/S.

Your own speedtest shows 947Mb (Megabit, not Megabyte, Megabyte is MB, capital "B").

So your max speed is closer to 70-100 MB per second (insanely fast though).

I myself have 100Mbit up and down, and i'm also having issues with Origin download speed at the moment (all day actually).

I normaly download with my max speed, around 11-12 MB per second, but today it goes between 0(!) KB/S to around 700KB/S. So not even a meg a second.. Sigh, taking forever to redownload BF4 and the expansions.

My only guess is that a tons of people are preloading Star Wars: Battlefront. But in reality there's probably some other issue messing things up.

I have a feeling that you're also mistaking MB for Mb.. If you have a 50Mbit connection i doubt you never go above 7.5 (meaning under 1 megabyte per second). Origin has never throttled my 100Mbit (usually i download in speeds around 10-12 Megabytes per second).

I did pull a screencap at 215GB/sec for Titanfall at launch from Facebook. It took a bit of windup to get that fast. I never paid for the 10Gb/sec offered here, but it is what it is.

Speeds are slow, regardless. I shouldn't be dragging along.

Battlefront just launched and between the preloads over the past few days and the guys currently downloading and activating the Origin system is most likely bogged down with additional traffic causing the slow down.
