Smoke grenade kill
I have a question that's haunting me. If you go on the battlefield tracker and you search the smoke grenades or the rifle grenades you can see that a few people manage to get kills with smoke grenade...

I've been searching for the answer to this as well, and as far as I can tell, you have to perform the kill much like a gas mask kill. (Still only a theory)
If the damage output was anything at all, more people would have random kills from it. Since only about 20 people have it, it must be a very specialized methodology or the smoke grenade only did damage for a limited time during the initial CTE.
I'll check back in if I know more later. I'm on xbox so feel free to reach out if you are too.
@Jofez16 With woody357anw we tryed everything with no result the communauty manager at EA said it was possible but even he don’t know how. We are on pc.
Hey so someone on reddit recently posted a smoke grenade kill.
What looks like happened to me, was they were throwing a smoke grenade at the exact moment they got an assist counts as kill. Since whatever weapon you are holding at that exact moment gets the kill, I believe that's how you get the smoke grenade kill. Personally haven't tested yet but will try to this week.
Must be pretty difficult, I would think this would happen just randomly more often.
@Jofez16When you get kill in bf1 its never from the thing you are holding its always what deals damage to kill the ennemy. I’ve tryed pretty much everything I could with friends and I never got a result. Also, its me who posted that on reddit I wanted to know if someone knew how it worked.
When was the video from? It's possible they removed the damage output on it during the CTE and it's no longer possible to get kills with.
