so are nvidia users just getting screwed on this game?

550 ti...amd fx6100...10gb ram...game won't run without dropping into the 20s.  unplayable by all means. but if i go and get a better nvidia card and change nothing else...is it going to work?  it s...

also i am on windows 7 64 bit.  i can get windows 8 with a student discount for <$50 most likely but i didn't really have any reason to upgrade and i'm not sure w8 is going to be that big of a performance jump that it will fix thse problems
