so my xbox one controller is no longer working for bf1

so my xbox one controller is no longer working for bf1 on my pc . i have used both controllers of mine in the past now the game will not recognize them . is this a common issue or is there a fix

  • Hey @mss4365,

I tried my Xbox Elite controller, and didn't seem to have any issues.

    Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling Origin?

While you do this, I would have the Controller unplugged from your PC, and do a re-boot as well once it's finished downloading.

Once it's booted up again, start up Origin, plug in your controller, and see if it works in Battlefield 1.

Let us know if you still need assistance.

    Thanks 🙂

  • A few things you could test:

-make sure the controller is connected and active before you launch the game.

-test the controller before the game in divice management in Windows.

-go to controller settings in BF1 and make sure the controller is enabled and setup correctly.

-look for new drivers for controller and usb (chipset software).

    -test another usb port

-remove BF1  config folder from documents folder (x:\users\user\douments\battlefield 1) and then restart the game as normal.

@mss4365 do you have two controllers plugged in simultaneously? If you do unplug the one that you don't wish to use and see if that helps.
